Then you can repair the leaky sink by using a universal drain basket wrench to remove the drain nut then you pull the gasket and the cardboard friction washer and push up the kitchen sink drain. Now lift the drain out of the sink from above and scrape the remaining plumbers putty out of the sink with a putty knife.
Turn the water on in the sink and hold.
